Bowling 2021-2022

For the last twelve years or so, I’ve bowled in leagues regularly following eleven or twelve years away from the game. Every season since returning to league bowling, it’s been a family affair with every team including some combination of me and my wife, kids, dad, or step-dad. It’s the most enjoyable way to bowl, for me. For the weekly cost involved, the fun has to come first, otherwise, there isn’t any point in doing it.

We started this season in a new league. Our old league had wonderful people in it, but the size of the league has dwindled little by little, every year since we began there in 2013 when it had eighteen teams. By the end of last season, it was down to just six teams.

Our new league reunited us with quite a few bowlers who we’d bowled with, previously. The new league is only two years old and is growing. I believe they started with twelve teams in their first season, and we’re up to sixteen teams this season. Next season looks like it will continue to grow. We’re expecting twenty or twenty-two teams.
